"Located in Jonesborough, the foundation is incorporated as a nonprofit public corporation in the State of Tennessee. The Foundation seeks to foster support for and appreciation of the visual arts in the region.
The mission of the Foundation is to provide the communities of East Tennessee and the surrounding region with access to multi-media fine art by recognized artists, to foster art education, art appreciation and community outreach. The Foundation is accepting financial and volunteer contributions to support its mission and programs."
Co-Director Pete Paulin responded to my initial project enthusiasm, practical outreach suggestions and informational activities by asking me to become actively official Promotions Chairperson for JFAG and to create and populate its Facebook page, all of which I did gladly. Robert Tregaskis and spouse visited my residence to outline another cyber-related JFA publicity project to which I agreed but its completion was overwhelmingly undermined by functionally-disabling crimes against my person and properties by disoriented desperadoes of our socio-economy.

JFAG members participated by invitational media-work display and setup-and-sales presence in the popular town Fine Arts in the Park events of 2011 and 2012, Jonesborough Days Visitor Center exhibits, and a Paulin-arranged initial Gallery Open House which was enjoyably well-attended and media-covered locally.

JFAG also hosted one of the Town's energetically-received Saturday "We Dig Jonesborough Cash Mob" community-inclusive commercial promotions.
Several Gallery members, including myself, were encouraged by impresario Steve Cook to donate artwork for the Storytelling Center's 2012 Music on the Square Fundraiser"Spring TuneUp" Cabaret and Silent Aucton. By all reports, there was an enthusiastically good turnout of supporters and JFAG artwork, and consequently a higher donation total than garnered through prior year benefit events. Nancy Kavanaugh chose a favorite of hers from amongst mine -- and secreted it from the bidding, so it wouldn't end up elsewhere (!)
___ Monique Carr designed and, with Pete Paulin, arranged for strategic display distribution colorfully glossy advertising Gallery handcards for which voting members paid a small additional assessment with our monthly $50-$60 association fee. A materials discount was arranged for members with a national art supply retailer also.

"Jonesborough Fine Art gallery opened its doors in July 2011 and represents over 25 area artists. Come visit the 2400 SF gallery and view more than 250 works; oil paintings, pastels, water color paintings, photography, mosaics, designer jewelry and more!
The Gallery is a co-op, giving artists an opportunity to showcase their work to the public by renting space. You will also find a nice gift shop. A class room space is also available to the artists that wish to teach."
___ Two actively involved and outstanding member artists, Monique Carr and LeeAnn Petropolous, kept working gallery studios for awhile and together hostessed one lavishly interesting open house. Along with other members, they also provided tech expertise for the JFAF website. LeeAnn and I exchanged friendship gifts of her colorful triangular mosaic pendant necklace and my small rustic-framed acrylic "Patriot Missiles."
