Intro: In the mid-1970s, I worked night-shift in hardcopy code-setting for the Richmond newspapers when that medium was so much less colorfully exciting than now! I'd helped out previously with putting together and "on the street" publications of SSOC; and ETSU's student literary journal, campus newspaper and radio station from Johnson City Tennessee. Later in DC-metro, I wrote and designed application system user manuals for my international high-tech employer's government and commercial clients.

As writing fiction became redundant to everyday life post-Y2K, I switched by conscious choice most often strictly toward on-line reportage for personal "grounding" reasons.

Although since its inception, ACRInc's website is and has been a "rag" (i.e. artsy-dartsy cyber-newspaper, e.g. "e-zine") and my first column section within it is entitled Dirt Road Journal, I've not usually thought of myself as the microstrata of Writer called Journalist, which I have undeniably been -- attested by official event-to-event memorabilia-now "press badges" [and consequent articles, salvaged] over nearly two decades. The "post"/Neo Confederate American South has certainly been a "Code Red" Danger Zone for me and others intent on recording/presenting/archiving it honestly.

A Proposed Price to CSA Terrorist-Civilization Universal Peace Resolution: To fund long overdue reparations to African-American citizens for unpaid slave labor in building substantial portions of this nation and to clear the muddied conscience and unbalanced ledgers of our mutual history, legislation might be enacted requiring a meaningful percentage of "the gate" to our many slave-constructed tourist attractions like Belle Grove, Mount Vernon and Monticello be deposited into a "Dunned Account" for dispersion to all current adult African-American citizens at tax time, i.e. April 15th, annually, with a "belated thank you" note, handwritten by the governor of each state involved and signed by the official leaders of their "people's assembly." Any transactional costs might be cancelled out by concommitant savings in "welfare" administration.
